If you're an avid home improver, chances are you already have some of these tools, but for beginners looking to take on a DIY project, there are a few tools worth investing in. Of course, every homeowner should have a basic tool kit with a hammer, Phillips and flathead screwdrivers, wrenches and pliers. From tightening kitchen cabinet knobs to hanging artwork, these essentials come in handy for everyday tasks.
We asked interior decorator and DIY enthusiast Rashida Banks to recommend a must-have tool. For more advanced DIY projects, you may need some tools like Banks' favorite RYOBI saw that can cut and cut wood with ease, but here are his top five tools for DIY home improvement projects. "When I think about projects I've done in the past that make things easier and easier, that's what I get the most," he says.
