French Custard Ice Cream is available on a "pre-order online then get flyer" basis from April 2021.
Now owners Jessica and Alex Wood have opened their first retail store.
They are located at 5905 Main St. in the Brookside area and plans to open on Wednesday at 2:00 pm. They live a few blocks from their new store.
French ice cream is said to use milk, cream, eggs, and sugar, but without additives or stabilizers, making it "much more like fluffy custard than regular ice cream."
Toppings for homemade ice cream. Flavors include Toffee Crisp and Honeycomb (both with caramel chunks), French Vanilla, Chocolate, Mint Chips, Cookie and Cream, Churro Cinnamon (with puff pastry), Pistachio, Lemon Curd (with Lemon Bars), and Avalanche Mocha.
The spoon costs $4.50 with an additional $3 scoop. Homemade waffle cones are $1.50 and cookies are 25 cents. A hand-wrapped pint costs $10.
Cooperation will change the feeling. On opening day, he will serve Mac Attack (Taiwanese cheese flavor mixed with sweet French custard ice cream) in collaboration with Jay Chang Kitchen.
This month, pedestrians on the Harry Wiggins trolley track in front of the center stopped for ice cream. Later, homeowners can install a sidewalk table or bench.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Wednesday from 14:00 to 21:00, Friday from 14:00 to 22:00, Saturday from 12:00 to 22:00 and Sunday from 12:00 to 21:00.
