Wood County construction plans have been updated
The following construction projects are expected to hit Wood County highways next week. All work described is permitted subject to weather conditions.
Interstate 75 between Buck Road and Monroe Street, Toledo/Rossford/Northwood may be subject to lane restrictions at times due to the completion of a redevelopment project. Expected Completion: Fall.
Lime City Road from Interstate 75, Rossford is reduced to one lane controlled by a temporary traffic light after an overhanging load damaged the bridge. The traffic will remain like this for several months.
US 20, between I-75 and Simmons Road, Perrysburg/Rossford, will have lane restrictions and closures due to the establishment of a turn lane. Westbound will be reduced to one lane overnight. The eastbound left turn at the former Holiday Inn French Quarter Center will be closed during Phase 1 (Exit: 20th Street eastbound to Simmons Street at South Compass Drive to US 20 westbound).
Work starts on July 10.
Lane restrictions are in place on Ohio 18, between the Bloomdale and Hancock County lines, and in Bloomdale until construction is complete in July.
Ohio 25, between Cygnet Road and US 6, Bowling Green/Portage, closed to traffic March 1 through July for road rehabilitation. Detour: I-75 to US 6.
CONTINUOUS EFFECT
Route 25 will remain closed between Powell Street and the Portage Village Corporation North Line until mid-July. full closure; Traffic will not flow in both directions.
Traffic will be detoured onto Route 6, I-75 or Ohio 235.
Effective Monday, July 10, all (four) Route 6 ramps to/from Ohio 25 will be closed for reconstruction until mid-August. Detour to SR 25 South: I-75 South to Ohio 25/Cygnet (Exit 171). Detour to 25th Street North: County House Road through Dunbridge Road to Napoleon Street.
SR 25 from Cygnet Road/Exit 171 will reopen in Portage when the Route 6 ramps are closed.
Ohio 64 from I-75 at Mercer Road is limited to one lane in each direction pending construction of a traffic circle at Campbell Hill Road. Work is underway on behalf of the City of Bowling Green and will continue through the end of the summer.
Ohio 199, between Sugar Ridge and Muir roads, Webster Township, will be closed July 10-21 for culvert replacement. Detour: US 6 to I-75 to Route 582.
235 Ohio, between Sand Ridge and Taylor streets, Weston, will be closed Wednesday through July for a bridge replacement project. Detour: Ohio 281 to Ohio 65 to Route 6. Contact the Village of Weston for more information.
Several provincial roads are bordered by the road marking work area. Estimated Completion: November.
Several roads in Wood County may be closed from time to time due to a sign replacement project. Expected Completion: Early August.
