He added that a special edition Wood Dragon stamp has been released for the upcoming Chinese New Year on February 10, 2024.
During the launch event, Setiadi signed the cover of the first day of the special stamp issue.
He said that with this seal, it is hoped that people celebrating the Lunar New Year will see the government's efforts to support the cultural diversity of the community.
“This is the introduction of the Dragon Tower Seal to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Wooden Dragon. It is a government initiative to pay attention to our national culture,” he noted.
Meanwhile, Faisal Rashmad Joymadi, director of PT Pos Indonesia, said philatelists are waiting for the special edition of Chinese zodiac ( xiu ) stamps.
He expressed the hope that the figure of the wooden dragon will acquire special meaning in the context of the Lunar New Year, which is full of prosperity values.
He said: "The release of this stamp is to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Forest Dragon, which signifies prosperity and growth for all."
