Mannheim, Pa. – The day before Wood Pro Expo Lancaster opens, the Master Carpenters Association is hosting a bus tour of three local wood shops.
Tour buses leave the warehouse for Nook at 8:15am and return on Wednesday, October 12 at 5pm.
Stops include:
Bird-in-Hand Woodworks Inc., a division of ChildCraft. The company's high-tech Lancaster workshop recently switched to using lockdowells to assemble products.
Lunch at Shady Maple Smorgasbord, East Earl
CMA member Seven Trees Woodworking was recently featured in FDMC Magazine. The company manufactures architectural products and furniture at its 28,000 square foot New Holland facility.
Keystone Wood Turning by Ephrata, specializes in custom turned products using CNC lathes.
The tour is sponsored by Lockdowell.
Registration for the tour is $60 through Friday, September 16 and $70 thereafter. Price includes travel and registration to the Wood Pro Expo Exhibition Hall on Thursday 13th October and Friday 14th October.
