A video of the massive fire that engulfed the dome of the Jameh Mosque during renovations in northern Jakarta, Indonesia, surfaced online on Wednesday.
Dramatic footage shows the moment the dome was filled with dust and smoke at 3pm on Wednesday.
The local police confirmed that no one was injured in the incident. However, investigations are underway into the matter and officials said that four employees of the organization, who were tasked with renovating the mosque, have been questioned so far.
The mosque is located in the compound of the Jakarta Islamic Center, a knowledge center for Islamic research and development. The Islamic Center also has educational, commercial and research facilities.
According to the head of the mosque, Mohammad Al Subki, the fire started when the workers of the construction company were carrying out maintenance work.
