His son eventually told him about the conversation, and when he found out what had happened, he decided to call his wife about it.
Later, speaking directly to him, his wife frankly admitted that she thought her son's tree "looked ridiculous."
He also confessed that he did not want to meet the tree in front of all his guests in a "respectable restaurant".
He was shocked to hear this from his wife and finally jumped on her.
First, he claimed that his wife should be ashamed to tell her own son when the teenager was just trying to be considerate and honest.
However, his wife did not understand and said that she was not embarrassed or embarrassed by the wood.
"And he even said he'd accept the gift, but 'he just didn't want it to show up there,'" she recalled.
However, at that point he took care of the whole situation and told his wife not to worry about it, because he had just decided to cancel the entire birthday dinner.
