He Canceled His Wife's Birthday Dinner After She Said His Son's Handmade Birthday Gift Looked "Ridiculous" And Told Him Not To Bring It To The Celebration

He Canceled His Wife's Birthday Dinner After She Said His Son's Handmade Birthday Gift Looked

In his previous marriage, the 36-year-old has a son who is now 15. However, his late wife passed away and he remarried his current wife about two years ago.

He now claims that his wife has a pretty good relationship with their son for the most part, although the couple clash at times.

And for context, your son actually has a background in art and woodworking. As a child, his son liked to help his father, his son's grandfather, with carpentry.

So her son finally learned how to make beautiful handmade wooden objects and now the teenager gifts these objects to her loved ones.

However, recently it was his wife's birthday, so he planned a dinner at a nice fancy restaurant. And the day before the party, his wife cleaned their son's room and finally discovered what the teenager had received as a birthday present.

It was apparently a handmade wooden tree bearing his name, his son's name, and his wife's name.

After finding out, his wife told their son about the gift. But what he said is quite painful.

She stated that although the tree was a very sweet gift, she did not want her son to bring the gift to the restaurant or give it to dinner.

"Why? I have no idea," he admits.

His son eventually told him about the conversation, and when he found out what had happened, he decided to call his wife about it.

Later, speaking directly to him, his wife frankly admitted that she thought her son's tree "looked ridiculous."

He also confessed that he did not want to meet the tree in front of all his guests in a "respectable restaurant".

He was shocked to hear this from his wife and finally jumped on her.

First, he claimed that his wife should be ashamed to tell her own son when the teenager was just trying to be considerate and honest.

However, his wife did not understand and said that she was not embarrassed or embarrassed by the wood.

"And he even said he'd accept the gift, but 'he just didn't want it to show up there,'" she recalled.

However, at that point he took care of the whole situation and told his wife not to worry about it, because he had just decided to cancel the entire birthday dinner.

In case you hadn't guessed, he wasn't happy about it and reveled in it, saying it was unreasonable to cancel his birthday dinner "because of that nonsense."

However, he denied it and tried to drop the case. However, his wife continues to complain about how he ruined her birthday and caused her to lose respect for herself and her promises.

The son only left the tree with gifts because his wife left home two days ago due to an argument. And since then, his stepmother scolded him for canceling dinner and called him an asshole for treating his wife like that.

So I was pretty confused about the whole situation.

"It couldn't have been serious and I overreacted, but my son was hurt by his request," she said.

Meanwhile, he was already wondering if it was wrong to cancel his wife's birthday party because of her reaction to his son's gift.

Why did his wife seem so embarrassed by the gift of their son? Did he have the right to call her rude and hurtful? If you were in his place, would you do the same?
