As part of this commitment, BSE donated a Rover Gold 1232 CNC machine and CAD/CAM software to the Hetich Podar Woodworking Institute (HPWwi), Faridabad for continuing education. BISE donated 1 panel cutting machine and 2 endless edge banding machines in their previous partnership with the institute. The machine donation is part of its sign-and-trade commitment at Delhiwood 2023 (one of India's largest trade fairs for woodworking machinery and furniture making) and its efforts to promote education and training in the manufacturing industry. The company believes that skills development is an important part of the growth and development of any industry and is committed to supporting initiatives that encourage this.
Apart from donating machinery, BSE is also committed to supporting the skills ecosystem in India by acting as a skills ambassador for the Furniture and Fitting Skills Council (FFSC). One of the initiatives is to support the National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) in Kolkata in developing advanced carpentry courses. BSE also intends to collaborate with the Indian Institute of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE)/ and the Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST) to submit project proposals on woodworking technology in various forestry companies and centres. BSE also offers training programs for professionals and students at various educational institutions such as the Advanced Woodworking Training Center (AWTC) in Bangalore. The company participates in the AWTC/IWST initiative Train the Trainer (ToT) for various ITIs in India. BISE is also committed to support AWTC/IWST by training technicians and carpenters from Naval Dockyard, MEG, IAF and PSU. Through this initiative, BSE will contribute to the development of the skill ecosystem in India and equip students with the skills required to excel in the manufacturing industry.
