According to the organizers, Vietnam will feature fully automated production lines and integrated wood processing systems, which will contribute to the transformation of the wood processing industry.
There will be eight themed pavilions from Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, the United States and Taiwan (China).
The exhibition will also feature live broadcasts and seminars on four main themes to showcase the latest technologies from Taiwan (China): smart manufacturing, for simple advancements; environmentally friendly factories with net zero carbon emissions; car condition management, intelligent maintenance; as well as European Union regulations regarding deforestation and environmentally friendly supply chains.
Speaking at a press conference early last week, Nguyen Tran Phuong, vice president of the Ho Chi Minh City Wood Crafts and Industry Association (HAWA), said exports of wood products fell by about 26 percent to 8.3 billion in the first eight months of this year. year. year. But he added there were signs of recovery, with exports reaching $1.2 billion a month since May.
Citing estimates from Vietnam's Forestry Agency, he said exports would reach $6 billion in the remaining months of this year, bringing the annual total to $14-14.5 billion.
Wood processing companies have invested relatively large amounts in machinery and equipment in recent years, but the use of advanced technology remains below its potential, lagging behind other forest product exporting countries such as China and Poland, he said.
The exhibition will provide companies with the opportunity to obtain information about high-end machines and materials from leading countries in this field.
The exhibition will be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, District 7, in conjunction with the Vietnam International Exhibition of Furniture Equipment, Tools and Equipment.
