From special Chinese New Year packages to take-out menus, Canton 108's seasonal creations take the joy of family gatherings to new heights.
Food has always been an important part of many holidays, and the Lunar New Year celebration is no exception. In addition to pampering the palate, food plays a fundamental role in the expression of affection between family members. Furthermore, the iconic Chinese New Year dishes are symbolic and very meaningful. Today, as the Year of the Dragon approaches, Canton 108 wants to delight its customers with a wide range of offers.
Located in ASHTA District 8, Canton 108 was conceived by Artisan Culinary Group, a major player in the Indonesian food and beverage scene with over a decade of experience in the industry. It's a sister business to the waterfront restaurant Canton 168 on Batavia Pike. The restaurant pays homage to Chinese culinary traditions and adheres to the culture's culinary philosophy of transforming fresh ingredients into mouth-watering dishes that awaken the senses. As for the space itself, earth tones are combined with a touch of blue in the contemporary interior, while layered flower-shaped chandeliers lend a certain elegance to the space.
To celebrate the delights surrounding the Lunar New Year, the restaurant offers five curated packages, each of which is a must-try draw featuring Samriddhi Yu Sheng. Jade and Luck Packages include Prosperity Yu Sheng Salmon. While the former features ten appetizers including Hong Kong-style steamed grouper, the latter is a twelve-course offering featuring Canton 108 Assorted Siew Mai and Steamed Soon Hock Fish.
The next three packs, namely Treasure, Longevity and Prosperity, contain Prosperity Yu Sheng Lobster. The Treasure Set includes twelve dishes, including house specialties with morel and horenzo vegetables and whiskey-coated American beef short ribs. The Longevity Package includes 14 entrees, including the Har Gau Canton 108 Signature Sampler and the CNY Special Mala Butter Sirloin Steak. This comprehensive experience culminates in the Wealth Package. The set includes several dishes mentioned in the packages above and then adds two additional creations, namely the special CNY Sea Cucumber and Hyoko Mushroom Glass Spaghetti and the Steamed Scallops with Soy Sauce and Truffle.
Those wishing to enjoy one of these delicious packages at home will be happy to know that Canton 108 also offers a takeaway menu. An appetizer, prosperity yu sheng, comes in two versions: salmon and lobster. Salmon and lobster are prepared in medium and large versions. Additionally, the tasty takeaway offering is the classic roast duck, served with homemade hoisin, prawn crackers and fried chicken.
